I'm running out of podcasts to listen to whilst working and need a few recommendations. Almost up to date with Quickly Kevin (an excellent and very funny look back at 90's football).

Humorous sports-related ones would be good but anything vaguely amusing will be considered.

Cheers in advance YFC.

Might give that a try.

Gangster is worth a listen if you like true crime.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p09dj54n

Gangster is the extraordinary story of Paul Massey - labelled Salford's Mr Big. It charts his rise and inevitable fall from a young tearaway on the streets of Salford to the head of an organised crime group controlling drugs, security and nightclub doors in Manchester.

It’s a story told not only by some of those close to him – but uniquely by Massey himself – though excerpts from an interview most of which has never been broadcast before.

Presenter Livvy Haydock enters the secretive underworld to speak to hardened criminals who reveal how Massey climbed his way to the top through violence and extortion.

But Massey was unlike many other gangland bosses. He wasn’t just in it for the money, he also saw himself as a community leader. To many in his neighbourhood, he was seen as a Robin Hood figure – looking after their interests, promising to keep hard drugs off the streets and enforcing his own style of street justice.

Re: Podcasts
Been listening to All to Play for. I was very sceptical but Joe Cole and West Ham fan Tom Davies are brilliant. Listening back to past episodes they talk a lot of West Ham and have had Curbs, Scott Minto and Trevor Sinclair on.

There are some real laugh out loud moments and intresting stuff including England under Capello and football before social media and camera phones.

The only thing I don't like is that Davies proper sucks up to Cole and kisses the guests arses like nobody's business, calling them legends of the game the whole time. Most guests have brilliant stories and have achieved things, but are nowhere near legends.

Sorry to bump this, but here's what's turning into a cracking podcast series.

It's about the North Korean cyber attack in 2014 on Sony pictures after they did a film imagining Kim Jong-un being assassinated. Virtual carnage follows.

This is a great thread, so thanks to anyone who contributed. I didn't even think I liked podcasts until now.

Crime and sport is brilliant and the thing about Richard Pryor was great to the point where I had to watch 'I am Richard Pryor'. Miiake comes up trump's again!

Sometimes I think about it and don't want to kill everyone on it and set a fire in the server.

Cheers, cunts. Now I have to keep clicking on WHO from time to time in case I find a diamond in the general dog shit
